The best executives I know are constantly searching for guides and advice on how they can grow even further, because they know an organization's performance is driven by the quality of its leaders and how they manage and honor their employees. When a leader grows, their employees grow, too—and those employees respect their manager even more.

My approach is based on a competency and character model that identifies perceived needs versus real needs. Blended with my background in corporate communications, I'm able to offer executives a customized advisory model that enhances how they manage and communicate.

My journey to serving as an independent advisor began after being involved with a company that received a substantial investment from a private equity firm. Along with that investment came the stipulation that the company's top four executives must receive management coaching. I realized that the coaching was likely even more valuable to the company's long-term performance than the financial investment. It was then that I wanted to also offer this valuable service along with helping executives understand the importance of communications strategy. Today, I'm an advisor who offers a blend of executive coaching and strategic communications advising.

My extensive experience includes serving as a corporate communications manager at a university healthcare system, manager at a PR agency, assistant communication director for an international non-profit, and a newspaper reporter and photographer. I have consulted and taught workshops on corporate communications and leadership skills in more than 20 countries throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

I hold graduate-level advanced certification in Executive Coaching & Consultation from the Townsend Leadership Institute at Concordia University Irvine, a master's degree in Journalism from San José State University, a bachelor's degree in Communication from Pacific Union College, and a certificate in photography from The Washington School of Photography.
